Self-Leadership
The concept of Self-Leadership (Manz, 1986; Manz & Neck, 2004) represents an individual perspective through which men and women influence themselves to control their own actions and thinking. (Journal of Leadership &Organizational Studies June 22, 2007 D’Infino. Robert s.; Goldsby, Michael G.; Houghton, Jeffery D.; Neck, Christopher P.)
It’s a self-influencing process that helps people achieve self-direction and self-motivation that are important factors at the workplace.
Managers who are effective self-leaders create optimal conditions for their employees allowing them to take the initiative and assume personal responsibility for leveraging both personal and organizational success.
Research from all over the world has shown that self-leadership is an acquired skill.
‘Tmurot’ has developed training methods that develop and strengthen self-leadership among managers and employees. The methods have been tested in studies and have been successfully implemented in a number of organizations.
